Most people start by asking themselves: "How can I make myself heard?" I, on the other hand, ask myself: "How can I not lie to myself?" It's a reverse, almost ascetic process: I take away instead of adding. I eliminate shortcuts, clichés, and prepackaged formulas. Easy formulas... I eliminate pop, classic rock, and all the trendy genres... I look for what I like and not what others like... I remove the glitter, I remove the certainties, I remove the arrogance, I remove the rhyme, I remove the banality... I keep the fragilities, I keep the little things, the ones that no one notices, I keep the pain, which is not a postcard stuck on the refrigerator... and something remains... something always remains... even if you're no longer here... something always remains... a memory, a scent, a song, a badly cooked dish that you knew how to make so well... and something remains... I know that wounds always remain... they never go away... like the wounds of Tolkien's dark lord. and something remains... something always remains... even if you're no longer here... something always remains... even if you're no longer here... you're no longer here...
