The Fall

It can be hard to dive in Sometimes you'll have to. No one to hold your hand No one to watch your back No one to hold you down No one to pick you up. It doesn't have to be a chore Just let go Exhale Dive in Sinking into the depths below Just let go Close your eyes Open them Only you can see what you are. Only you can dive that far. These waters turn around your waist, Pulling you down more. Let the dark depths swallow your pride for you Reducing you to a shadow of yourself Humbled by the waves that take you, The waves that you can't slow down. Eat me up Beam me up Take me to new places Show me some new faces Make me who I'm meant to be. Up is down and now I'm lost, Spiraling down I forget to breathe As if I could at all. I fall into the fall. I become what consumes me.
