Do We?

[INTRO — SPOKEN, QUIET] After everything we’ve been through… After everything our fathers went through… The warnings. The kingdom. The conquest. The captivity. You would think by now… we would’ve learned. But look at us. We still haven’t learned. [VERSE 1] Brother against brother, blood running in the street, Taking our own life like a life is something cheap. Same people, same struggle, still destroying one another, How you claim you love the people while you’re killing your own brother? Anger turns to murder, pride won’t let it rest, Another mother crying with her hands across her chest. Another father missing, another child without a guide, Then we wonder why the family keeps on breaking from inside. We point across the table, say somebody else is wrong, But we’ve been hurting one another for entirely too long. We want justice from the nations, want somebody else to hear, But where’s the justice for your brother when his blood is lying near? Commandment said don’t murder. Commandment made it plain. But somehow we expect the blessing while repeating all the same. We learned about the curses. We learned why judgment came. But if we keep the same behavior, tell me, what exactly changed? [CHORUS — MELODIC, LAYERED] We always trust in the Most High, Even when the road gets hard, we keep our heads high. Through the tears, through the years, through the long nights, We always trust in the Most High. We always trust in the Most High, When everything around us says we won’t rise. We remember the covenant, get our hearts right. We always trust in the Most High. [VERSE 2] And everybody’s accountable, don’t put it on one side. Men and women both have got to look at how we live our lives. Men abandoning children, men refusing to lead, chasing money, chasing status, feeding every selfish need. Women caught in whoredom, men committing whoredom too. Covenant means nothing when desire is ruling you. Everybody pointing fingers, everybody placing blame, while the household keeps collapsing and we’re helping feed the flame. Sabbath comes, we disregard it. Commandments? We don’t care. Then trouble comes upon us and we wonder why it’s there. We say we want the Most High, but do we honor what He said? Or only call upon His name when we’re surrounded by distress? We want protection without obedience. Want the blessing without the law. Want the covenant when we need it, then forget the covenant tomorrow. [BRIDGE — DRUMS DROP OUT] After everything our fathers went through… How are we still doing the same things? Brother against brother. Families against families. Whoredom. Violence. Pride. Commandments forgotten. Sabbath forgotten. And when trouble comes… Who do we run to first? Men? Governments? The same powers that conquered us? Or the Most High? Maybe the question isn’t whether He remembers the covenant. Maybe the question is… Do we? [VERSE 3 — BEAT RETURNS HARD] We keep looking for a savior sitting somewhere in a chair, Looking toward another man like our deliverance is there. Running to the powers of this world whenever trouble starts, While the One who gave the covenant is far away from hearts. We learned nothing if our answer is to imitate the past, Same rebellion, different century, expecting it to last. Different clothes and different cities, different music, different names, But if the heart remains rebellious, then the problem stays the same. So before we blame the stranger, before we blame the throne, before we blame the nations for everything that’s going wrong, Look inside the congregation. Look inside your house. Look at how we treat each other. Look at what comes from our mouths. Are we teaching our children? Are we honoring our wives? Are we honoring our husbands? Do we value people’s lives? Are we keeping His commandments? Do we remember Sabbath day? When the world gives us its customs, do we follow or obey? Because returning isn’t talking. Returning means you turn. You remember what was written, then you live what you have learned. [CHORUS — STRONGER] We always trust in the Most High, Even when the road gets hard, we keep our heads high. Through the tears, through the years, through the long nights, We always trust in the Most High. We always trust in the Most High, When everything around us says we won’t rise. We remember the covenant, get our hearts right. We always trust in the Most High. [VERSE 4 — AWAKENING] Maybe this generation finally chooses something new. Not a different set of scriptures— just returning to what’s true. Put the weapons down against your brother. Teach your children what was given. Let the fathers stand as fathers. Let the mothers strengthen children. Let the household learn the Sabbath. Let the commandments fill the home. Before we beg another power, let us seek the Most High alone. Because repentance isn’t weakness. It’s admitting we were wrong. It’s rebuilding what was broken. It’s returning where we belong. We can’t change w
