[Verse 1] T’was Christmas Eve down in the crypt, The moonlight shining pale and crisp, The wind blew cold through the tombstone rows, And Skelly woke up — shaking his bones! He grabbed his hat, his scarf, and cane, He dusted off that candy cane, He said, “No grave’s gonna hold me down, It’s Christmas time in Skeleton Town!” [Chorus] Jingle bones, jingle bones, rattlin’ all the way, Skelly’s got that holiday groove, he’s dancing night and day! Rattle tap, clickety-clack, under the mistletoe, Everybody’s groovin’ now — to Skelly’s Christmas show! [Verse 2] He met Frosty by the frozen lake, They shared some cocoa {with no stomach ache}, A zombie choir began to hum, And Santa’s sleigh went “boom-ba-dum!” The elves came down with lights and flair, Hung tinsel in Skelly’s ribcage there, He said, “It tickles, but I don’t mind, It’s Christmas spirit, hard to find!” [Chorus] Jingle bones, jingle bones, clatter through the snow, Skelly’s got the holly beat, he’s stealing every show! Hear that spine in perfect time, groovin’ toe to toe, Everybody’s smilin’ now — to Skelly’s Christmas show! [Bridge] Snowflakes fall on hollow cheeks, He hasn’t blinked in several weeks, But his eye sockets shine so bright, When Christmas carols fill the night! Skeletons and ghouls unite, Under twinkling candlelight, He strums his ribs, a xylophone, The best darn sound you’ve ever known! [Breakdown] “Hit it, Skelly!” [Instrumental — bones clinking to a jazzy jingle rhythm] [Final Chorus] Jingle bones, jingle bones, dancing through the night, Skelly’s spirit’s glowing strong — merry and oh so bright! From graveyard gates to chimney stones, he spreads that Christmas glow, Merry bones and happy tones — from Skelly’s festive show! [Outro] So when you hear that eerie sound, Of clicking bones all around, Don’t be scared — it’s holiday cheer, Skelly’s back again this year! “Ho-ho-ho… and a rattle too!”
