Ooh, ah, ooh, ah Disco fever Disco fever I got disco fever When that itch starts creeping in your toes— That twitch that tells you, let it go Head to the closest neon-lit spot Slide through the door, give it all you got Shake your hips into the sweating crowd Let the fever build, let it get loud They’ll all catch it when they see you move Give ‘em the fever, make ‘em groove Feel the disco fever on the dance floor Move your feet, your hands, and more Catch the shimmer from the disco ball Point to the sky and own it all Give ‘em that funky groove to steal Show ‘em what it means to feel You caught the bug, you caught the beat That disco fever—sweet and complete! Disco fever! Disco fever! Now they feel it spreading through the room Heels are tapping, hips go boom Old men whisper, "What’s that sound?" But soon they’re spinning all around The bartender’s shaking more than drinks The whole damn club is on the brink You’re the spark You lit the fuse Now everybody’s got the blues— Not sad ones—just the fevered groove Feel the disco fever on the dance floor Move your feet, your hands, and more Catch the shimmer from the disco ball Point to the sky and own it all Give ‘em that funky groove to steal Show ‘em what it means to feel You caught the bug, you caught the beat That disco fever—sweet and complete! Disco fever! Disco fever! The night’s still young, the moon is high One club conquered—time to fly Take your fever down the street Another floor, another beat Infect ‘em all with what you found That sweet, sweet sickness—spread it ‘round Don’t keep the fever locked inside Let the whole damn city slide… Into the groove Feel the disco fever on the dance floor Move your feet, your hands, and more Catch the shimmer from the disco ball Point to the sky and own it all Give ‘em that funky groove to steal Show ‘em what it means to feel You caught the bug, you caught the beat That disco fever—sweet and complete! Disco fever! Disco fever! The itch is gone now… The fever finally settles down You can rest You can sleep But somewhere deep— A single bass note keeps on thumping… Thump Thump Thump Until someone walks by And winks an eye And the fever starts to rise again… One more dance… one more chance… For the disco fever
