The greatest gift in manger lay 2,000 years ago today The Son of God, Jesus Christ the Lord Whom angels sang, shepherds adored Prophecy fulfilled, Savior on earth He was man and God, a virgin birth Blessed redeemer, Christ the King Precious babe in swaddling He came to live so He could die Though sinless, He was crucified Bore all our sins, to Him we kneel It’s by His stripes, that we are healed He heals our heart, and saves our soul He is the best friend we could know We place all trust in Jesus Christ He is the Way, the Truth, the Life. And everyone we ever meet Shall know us as His hands and feet Children of God, we’re royalty Here and forever saved and free! And oh what peace we’ll have, my friend That day when this life here will end For then He’ll take us home above To live in peace and joy and love.
