Plant a Little, Grow a Lot Teacher: What do we do Kids: We plant and grow Teacher: How does it start Kids: We don’t always know Dig a little hole in the ground (scoop, scoop!) Drop a tiny seed we found (plop, plop!) Cover it up, nice and slow Now we wait and watch it grow Sun comes shining, warm and bright Raindrops fall and give it life Even when we cannot see Something’s growing secretly Plant a little, grow a lot! Give it love and give it thought Clap your hands and stomp your feet Watch the magic underneath Roots go down, shoots go high Reaching up into the sky Take your time, don’t rush it through Growing takes time—that’s what we do! Some grow flowers, red and blue Some grow veggies good for you Some grow tall like giant trees Dancing softly in the breeze Every seed is not the same Each one plays a different game But they all need care and space Time and love help them take place Plant a little, grow a lot Give it love and give it thought Clap your hands and stomp your feet Watch the magic underneath Roots go down Shoots go high Wave your arms up to the sky Take your time, don’t rush it through Growing takes time—that’s what we do Shhh… be still… listen close Growing happens the most When we’re patient, when we care Life is blooming everywhere Plant a little, grow a lot Every seed becomes something Clap your hands and spin around Life is growing from the ground Roots go strong, stems stand tall Every plant can grow it all Take your time, don’t rush it through Growing takes time—for me and you Plant it Water it Shine on it Grow! Grow! Grow!
