The House That Kept Me § THE HERMIT

V5.5

🏚️THE HOUSE THAT KEPT ME 🏚️ Inside my home is where I need to be, So fortress quiet hollowed sanctuary. Behind my door is where I feel safe, The cloistered mind outside is terrifying. Shut out the light, Shut out the violence, Unyielding drywall creeps in the silence. I need the silence… (Thank god for this place, I live inside of.) This monastic quiet, I don’t mind it, Kinda like it, Claustrophilia dreams spilling, Into my perpetual twilight. Feels just fine, compared to outside’s acoustic violence! Inside my house, Inside my home, Inside my house, (I like living alone…) Oohh, how these walls hold me, Strong and sturdy, Nothing can ever be hurting… But what inside of me keeps screaming? Wait- What did I just see? Can’t be- In the dark imaginations run wildly! No need to fear the peace, (Of course houses don’t have teeth…) I’ll admit, shit is feeling off… Nevertheless, it beats anything outside of these walls, I don’t mind the new sounds, The chewing, swallowing down, Entophagy ambience, mastic chewing all around… (I still won’t go out.) I can feel my identity rotting, Don’t wanna leave soothing feelings stopping me, Everything in me is screaming constantly, But how can this be if this feels, so comforting. (Oikos-necrosis almost feels lovely…) Inside my house - anchored to the ground, Inside my house, (I’m never getting out…) Oohh - how these walls lock me in, Chewing - swallowing, Waiting with strips ripped outta my skin, Doesn’t bother me a bit. Even with my insides screaming, To me- At least the way I see It seems- Better than out there with society. No need for fear, when this feels so heavenly, (Being eaten by a home I love to be in…) Layer by layer, strip bone white, Peel me slowly from the outside, Every portion eaten, in the shroud of night, Darkened rooms consume my insides. Micro-fears in stagnant peace, Looping shadows swallowing me, If I vanish silently, Will my insides stop screaming? Home is where the heart may be, Pulsating sounds where you grow and keep, Maybe homes can be living things, Maybe mine just likes the taste of me. Oohh - how these walls are swallowing me, Cheap cuts of beef, what’s left to eat, By tonight what’s left might only be, a memory! Doesn’t bug me at all, Digested by what I love, Even if my insides are dying, At least- My existence will cease, To be- Ripped away from eternity, Still beats - living in society. (Rather be assimilated into the beams…) Inside my house… Inside my home…
