DEDICATION: For D. NOTES: First of all, it was a thrill when this hit #1 Worldwide this morning. Of course its reign there was brief -- yet some of the best things in life are just the same. Meanwhile, when I came up with this rough idea a couple weeks ago, it sounded like the opening track on an EP to me. So -- I wanted to go and quietly write that whole thing, and then release it all. However, the mothership suddenly announced this credits contest, which threw me into a chicken-or-egg-first situation... Because of course I could use those credits to help finish that little project. I heard it while walking down the street with my parents. I thought it was a wonderful song and was moved. While walking, I recalled the story of how she had worked hard for 9 years and the comments about the quality of the music, and before I knew it, I was crying. Even my parents, who don’t listen to indie music at all, were moved by this song and said it was a wonderful piece.♡

I was actually trying to alternate with a pop song -- as a few have let me know they're hesitant about this genre. Yet that new clubby one is taking its dear sweet time.
In general, I tend to write a lot of folk and country -- yet it's "behind-the-scenes." I simply don't make much of it public (yet).

What a beautiful and meaningful song ! Through poetic language and powerful imagery, it portrays the impotence and failure of communication, the emotional detachment, and the resulting loneliness and helplessness.
It also delves into the difficulties of human interaction and the regret and pain we experience in emotional exchange. (There are likely many aspects within the song that I have yet to fully comprehend) ❤️😊
