[Verse 1] Metal man Ten feet tall Armor grins Like it can’t fall Crowd all betting On the easy call I’m just a kid With a canvas bag He’s got jokes He’s got rage I’ve got stones And a quiet faith Whole field shakes When he roars my name My hands still But my heart’s all jagged [Pre-Chorus] They say “stand back Stay small You can’t win You’ll just crawl” But I walk in Head high Yeah I’ve heard bigger lies [Chorus] I’m going up Up Up Against a giant One small step and I won’t stay silent Got my slingshot swinging like a riot Watch me drop Goliath (oh-oh) I’m going up Up Up And I’m not frightened Tiny spark but the sky’s ignited When the big talk falls Who’s standing quiet? Watch me drop Goliath [Verse 2] He throws shade Like a sharpened spear Every word Meant to carve my fear But I load hope In a leather string Spin it once And I hear that ring One breath Then I let it fly All the doubt Falling out my mind Stone hits hard Like a stopping clock Big man blinks Then the whole ground pops [Pre-Chorus] They said “stand back Stay small You can’t win You’ll just crawl” Now the drum in my chest Beats louder than the rest [Chorus] I’m going up Up Up Against a giant One small step and I won’t stay silent Got my slingshot swinging like a riot Watch me drop Goliath (hey!) I’m going up Up Up Look how he’s lying Face down flat where the doubt was smiling When the big talk falls Who’s still defiant? Watch me drop Goliath [Bridge] Every fear Got a face A name Every “can’t” Is a rigged arcade But the rig breaks down When a stone hits true If it worked for me It can work for you (oh yeah) [Chorus] I’m going up Up Up Against a giant One small step and I won’t stay silent Got my slingshot swinging like a riot Watch me drop Goliath I’m going up Up Up And I keep climbing Every “too small” turns into lightning When the big talk fades and the dust is quiet Watch me drop Goliath
