Verse 1 Everybody fighting for the highest chair. Everybody acting like the crown is theirs. Everybody reaching for another round... Then You walked in and turned it upside down. You took a towel. You took a bowl. The King of Heaven took the servant's role. Chorus You went low. Lower than we thought You'd go. Strong enough to kneel. Strong enough to wash our feet. The first is last. The last comes first. Love gets dirty. Love goes first. Verse 2 You knew the Father. You knew Your name. You knew tomorrow wouldn't change a thing. Nothing left to prove. Nothing left to hide. You laid Your glory at the servant's side. You gave away The honor due to You. And somehow that made everything brand new. Chorus You went low. Lower than we thought You'd go. Strong enough to kneel. Strong enough to wash our feet. The first is last. The last comes first. Love gets dirty. Love goes first. Bridge (quiet, then builds) Maybe the Kingdom isn't upside down... Maybe we are. Maybe the Kingdom isn't upside down... Maybe we are. Turn us around. Turn us around. Turn us around. Final Chorus (bigger) You went low. That's where real strength grows. Strong enough to kneel. Strong enough to wash our feet. The first is last. The last comes first. Your Kingdom turns This broken world right-side up. Love goes first. Love goes low. That's the only way We'll ever know.
