The Ancient Light (Celtic Worship Carols)

Above the earth a light appeared A star in the East that the shepherds neared It gave a glow to the night so deep While the weary world was fast asleep The star drew nigh to the northwest plains O'er Bethlehem where the silence reigns It stopped and stayed with a steady glow Above the place where the Child lay low Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel Born is the King the ancient King Joy for the Christ is born this day The Son of Mary in the hay The first Noel the angels did tell To shepherds in fields where the shadows fell Keeping their sheep on a winter's night Suddenly bathed in a heavenly light What Child is this who is laid to rest While Mary holds him to her breast Whom angels greet with a song so sweet While shepherds kneel at his holy feet [Instrumental Break] Noel, Noel, let the heavens ring Born is the King, Israel’s King Joy for the Christ is born this day, The Son of Mary in the hay Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel... Born is the King Born is the King Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel... Born is the King Born is the King!
