Precalculus Blues

[verse 1] Well, I signed up for class, thought I’d do just fine, But the textbook I needed, it just took its sweet time. Braille was too slow, so we searched high and low, For a digital version that would let knowledge flow. [verse 2] But the book that they gave? It just wouldn’t read, My screen reader stuttered, said, “This ain’t what I need.” So I called up tech support, said, “Help me out, please!” He found me a new one, but it came with some fees. [chorus] Oh, I got the Precalculus Blues, Just tryin’ to study, but I’m bound to lose. Every step forward, there’s two steps back, But I ain’t givin’ up, gotta stay on track. [verse 3] Finally got my book, thought the battle was won, But the math showed up blank—man, that ain’t no fun. I reinstalled Chrome, reset everything, But the problem, my friend, was a screen reader glitch. [verse 4] Then an update dropped, said, “Hey, math should be fine,” And like magic, equations showed up in the line. So I moved to my homework, enabled the mode, But the graphs wouldn’t work—hit another dead road. [chorus] Oh, I got the Precalculus Blues, Tryin’ to solve problems, but I just get confused. Tech keeps failin’, I keep callin’ back, But I’m holdin’ on, ‘cause I can’t lose track. [bridge - spoken] Now listen here, I tried my best, But the parser said, “Wrong,” when I typed in the test. Turns out subscripts? They don’t work at all, So my logarithms? Yeah, they hit a brick wall. [verse 5] Then one day I log in, but my access is gone, Can’t do my homework, can’t carry on. Locked out of my account, man, what’s goin’ on? I just wanna learn, but this fight’s been too long. [chorus] Oh, I got the Precalculus Blues, Jumpin’ through hoops, still payin’ my dues. One day I’ll solve it, I’ll break through the chains, But right now, this class is drivin’ me insane! [outro] Yeah, I’ll keep on fightin’, no matter the cost, ‘Cause knowledge is power, and I won’t be lost.
