Heartbeat of the Knots

Grey dawn on his skin, Crowded trains swallow his din, Steps fade into steel, Neon lights blur his heel, Another day begins. The same cold heartbeat - ice heartbeat. He walks through days that blur into the rest, - blur drifting best. The same cold heartbeat - ice heartbeat. Invisible man among neon ghosts - neon shadows most. Faint voices ask if he’s still alive - barely survive. Paper towers rise, Voices sharpen like dull knives, Hope curls into dust, Names lost in endless trust, He types behind cold glass. A hollow, ghostly heartbeat - empty heartbeat. His name mispronounced, his worth overlooked - vanished and booked. A hollow, ghostly heartbeat - empty heartbeat. A clock devours him bite by bite - bite-bite blight. He dreams of silk while typing chains - typed-in remains. Night folds in too soon, Empty rooms hum a tune, He fades before the light, Silent meals in shadowed night, Grey walls hold his gloom. A restless, aching heartbeat - shattered beat. He chews silence like a tasteless deal - bitter meal. A restless, aching heartbeat - shattered beat. His shadow whispers of secret floors - hidden doors. A hunger stirs beneath the bay - gnawing under gray. Sat-night moon cracks her shell, Masked, she blooms in coiled dwell, Drag-queen of the knots, Ropes sing around trembling lots, She rules her secret world. A burning bright heartbeat - Shining heartbeat. It drums now against shining latex - latex flex. A burning bright heartbeat - Shining heartbeat. Ropes sing hymns around trembling spots - hymns of lots. She rules the dark, queen of ties - ruling over ties. Silk holds a new breath, A man offers all she is, Fate slips in the knot, A choice hangs in the twist, Freedom waits in her hands. A wild unchaining heartbeat - raging heartbeat. But softened now by someone’s willing kiss - willing bliss. A wild unchaining heartbeat - bursting heartbeat. A whispered “Stay with me” reshapes the mist - reshapes the twist. A wild unchaining heartbeat - roaring heartbeat. She steps forward as her old shadows lift - shadows falling shift. A wild unchaining heartbeat - flaming heartbeat. wild unchaining heartbeat wild unchaining heartbeat wild unchaining heartbeat
