Verse 1 I belong to a heavenly country, one the world does not know A place of joy and gladness where love and the Divine fully meet God will wipe every tear from our eyes, no more pain, no more death, no more fear The old things have passed away — behold, He is making all things new Chorus There is no more sorrow, no more aging, no more tears We will run like deer on streets of gold, jump for joy like rabbits here We will drink from the river of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne Where the tree of life bears fruit forever — we will see His face and never be alone Verse 2 You can’t earn your way here, all our good deeds are like filthy rags Without Jesus’ death on the cross, it’s all worthless and vain But for those who love Him — the Great I Am, our Bridegroom and King By grace we have been saved through faith — it’s a gift, not by works, spun into purest gold Bridge Our citizenship is in heaven, we eagerly await our Savior there He will transform these lowly bodies to be like His glorious one We will rejoice forever in what He creates — He will delight in His people No more mourning, no more crying — only joy in the presence of the Lamb Final Chorus / Tag We will run like deer, jump for joy like rabbits, drink from the crystal river In the heavenly country where God dwells with us forever All because of Jesus — the One who loved us first I belong to Him… and He is bringing me home
