“Into My Soul” came from the idea of looking deep inside yourself and searching for something you cannot always explain. I imagined diving into my own soul and meeting a strange version of myself, surrounded by darkness, memories and a small amount of light. Sometimes we look inside ourselves expecting to find an answer, but instead we find something less rational. A feeling, an instinct, a direction. The lighthouse became that idea for me. It does not give you an answer or tell you exactly where to go, but it gives you enough light to find your way through the darkness. The song is about that strange moment when you search for an explanation and find something different instead, something that may not make sense yet, but still seems to point you somewhere. ✦ Into My Soul ✦ I dove into my soul, and what did I see? A distorted figure surrounded by astral lights A face staring back at me With a boy’s eyes, watching me There was nothing to fear, everything empty There was nothing to fear, everything empty He didn’t say a word, motionless in limbo Trapped between everything and nothing Time was slow, it felt so slow Everything was darkness, except the eyes They were made of light, the last of it The lights of a lighthouse There was nothing to fear Everything empty There was nothing Nothing to fear Everything was Empty All the feelings there with me All the memories My past and my future All of it overflowing They were made of light, the last of it The lights of a lighthouse There was nothing to fear, everything empty There was nothing to fear, everything empty There was nothing Nothing to fear Everything was Empty Everything was… Empty
