First Light in the Kingdom

Verse 1 Morning light across the floor Junior wakes before the rest Stretching slow upon the rug With a hunger in his chest Usually the house would stir Footsteps moving down the hall But the morning sits in silence No one waking them at all Verse 2 Junior pads across the room Nudges Indy from his bed Indy groans and lifts his head From the couch Felix appears Calm eyes taking in the room Little Mew begins to pace Clearly sensing something’s wrong Pre-Chorus No footsteps in the hallway No familiar morning sound Only quiet in the house As the four cats gather round Chorus Something’s different in this morning Something here has changed today Through the silent house they wander Ready to start this day Junior hungry, pushing onward Little Mew begins to prowl Felix watches, quiet thinking Indy grumbling low and foul Verse 3 Down the hallway toward the kitchen Where the morning always starts Four now move together slowly Curiosity in their hearts Little Mew grows loud and restless Junior quickens up his pace Felix leads the silent march An unknown challenge they will face. Final Chorus (Adjusted) Into the kitchen now they gather Four awake before the dawn Junior moving toward the bowl Certain breakfast waits beyond Felix watching, calm and steady Little Mew draws close as well Indy shuffling close behind As the saints gather round the bowl
