NOBODY SAW THAT COMING Walked in late, everybody turned, one bad joke and the whole place burst, somebody laughed before the joke was done, now nobody remembers what the joke was from. Nobody saw that coming, nobody knew we'd end up laughing, one little moment, then another one, suddenly everybody's having fun. Nobody saw that coming, nothing written, nothing planned, sometimes the best part of the day is the bit nobody had in hand. Quick with a comment, quicker with a comeback, one says one thing, somebody answers right back, three little tangents, then a fourth gets added, everybody talking like the meeting got scattered. Half-sentence, side glance, somebody cracks, someone tries explaining, makes it twice as bad, laughing so hard that the point gets lost, five different versions of what actually caused it. No big moment, no grand display, just people making something out of an ordinary day, little unexpected turns keep changing the scene, best kind of nonsense without making it mean. Nobody saw that coming, nobody knew we'd end up laughing, one little moment, then another one, suddenly everybody's having fun. Nobody saw that coming, nothing written, nothing planned, sometimes the best part of the day is the bit nobody had in hand. Rapid thought, quick reply, words collide, little bit of nonsense with a straight-faced vibe, switch that subject, bring the next one in, before one lands, another begins. Too quick to predict, too loose to arrange, everybody's timing keeps making it change, one more laugh, one more unexpected turn, nothing to fix and nothing to learn. Nobody saw that coming, nobody knew we'd end up laughing, one little moment, then another one, suddenly everybody's having fun. Nobody saw that coming, nothing written, nothing planned, sometimes the best part of the day is the bit nobody had in hand.
