(big chorus) There are two ways, one of life and one of death, and there is a great difference between the two ways. The way of life prescribes loving God first and one's neighbor as oneself, doing to no other what one would not want done to oneself. It calls for blessing enemies, turning the other cheek, going the extra mile, giving without asking back, and practicing charity with discernment. (verse 1) The second commandment prohibits murder, adultery, corruption of youth, fornication, theft, magic, sorcery, abortion, infanticide, covetousness, false witness, evil speech, grudges, and double-mindedness. Words must be backed by actions, and one should love certain neighbors even more than life. (Chorus) Flee from all evil, anger, lust, omens, lying, and murmuring, as these lead to greater sins like murder, adultery, idolatry, theft, and blasphemy. Walk with the meek, righteous, and humble, accepting all circumstances as coming from God. ( verse 3) Remember the word of God day and night, honor spiritual leaders, seek the saints, avoid schisms, judge righteously, and practice generous giving without hesitation. Teach the fear of God to your children, treat servants fairly, hate hypocrisy, and confess your transgressions in church.
