✍🏻 LYRICS/COMPOSITION BY EME LATINA (2026) ------------ ABOUT: ------------ The Circuit, Round 10: Dream Pop x Drum and Bass Vocal: Female Instrument: Harp Word to use: Ball This song is about making your interest clear, then waiting for the other person to make their play. It's playful, dreamy, romantic, and full of that anticipation. At this stage in the game the chemistry is obvious, the signals have been sent, and both know something is there — someone just has to make the final move. In other words, “the ball’s in your court." ------------ LYRICS: ------------ Baby, Baby the way you look at me every time you get this close, It makes it hard to breathe.... (mmm)(ouuu) (the way you....)(the way you....)(the way you....) You’ve got a mysterious kind of smile, like you’re deep in your own thought; a deep voice when you call my name out that lands harder than it ought... Ohh, and you remember details I forget I even said. When you casually bring them up, you end up running through my head... (mmm, ohhh)(baby) I let moments stretch between us, then I get a little close; I'll find something else to ask you when I really ought to go... I couldn't make it any clearer It's your turn to tell me what I’ve already laid down my cards, baby What you gonna do with that? The ball’s in your court, so what you gonna do? I’ve been dropping little hints, meant entirely for you. Don’t need a crystal ball, I can show you when we touch— The ball’s in your court, baby; Show me how much... (show me) (show me) What you gonna, gonna What you gonna do(oo-oo)? You were the unexpected curveball I didn't see you coming Had my little walls up high, then somehow you were inside me... I could play it safer (ohh), keep pretending I'm not ready— but I’ve already crossed the distance, baby Come and get me The ball's in your court...(mmm) What you gonna do?(your court)(your court) What you gonna--?(your court) What you gonna--?(your court) What you gonna--? The ball’s in your court, so what you gonna do?(ohoh) I’ve been dropping little hints, meant entirely for you. Don’t need a crystal ball, I can feel it when we touch— (what you gonna?) (what you gonna?) The ball’s in your court, baby; Show me how much... (show me, show me, show me) What you gonna, gonna What you gonna do? Don’t go dropping the ball now, not when I’m this close to you... (so close...) (your court, your court...) Baby, I’m not imagining it The way you look at me (hmmm) We're getting there(yeahhh) The ball’s in your court...(your court) The ball’s in your court... (show me, show me) What you gonna do...? What you gonna do...? (Baby, ohhh) The ball's in your court.
