English Lyrics Flower to Flower Tracing the morning dew with my beak, A pale petal trembles softly. When my thoughts drift toward the distant wind, I breathe spring deep into my heart. From flower to flower, I drift and flutter, As if searching for a fragrance I have not yet known. Because I cannot stay in the same place forever, I gently hold the self I am today. My little wings, lifted into the light, Tie my unspoken longing to the sky. The moment I pause to catch my breath, it is already dusk, And in the blink of an eye, the season changes. From flower to flower, I drift and flutter, Giving myself over to this restless heart. I hide the fading colors inside my tears, Leaving even goodbye to the wind. Light spills through the gaps in the sky, As I quietly look at buds not yet in bloom. Even if tomorrow’s self feels close to tears, If I fold my wings, I know I will never reach it. From flower to flower, I drift and flutter, And every time I hesitate, I think of you. Breathing in the faint fragrance so deeply, I take flight again as the person I am now.** What I wanted to express in these lyrics was my own emotional movement and way of being through the image of a small bird. The natural elements — morning dew, petals, wind, light, and dusk — are there not simply as scenery, but as part of a soft and intimate world seen from the bird’s perspective. The bird moving from flower to flower also carries a feeling of not being able to stay in one place forever, and of living through days that are always changing. Even while holding hesitation and a wish to stay still, I wanted to convey the quiet act of accepting oneself as they are in that moment, and then finding the strength to move forward again. The “you” near the end is intentionally left open. It may be read as a loved one, but also as an important memory, an emotional support, or something quietly held in the heart. Overall, I wanted the song to hold hesitation, loss, self-acceptance, and the feeling of taking flight once more, in as gentle and quiet a tone as possible.
