[INTRO] WHIIIIIIIIIDESIIIIIIIIIDE! Everybody sees the floor. Nobody asks what's underneath it. Yeah. [HOOK] Trap door, trap door, thought I knew the way, One step looking easy, whole floor gave way, Fast money in the pocket, consequences in the wake, Everybody wants the shortcut till the shortcut takes the day. Trap door, trap door, hidden underneath, Smile on the surface, pressure underneath, Everybody chasing exits, nobody wants to see Sometimes what looks like freedom is the lock beneath the key. [VERSE 1] I learned a trap don't always look like danger, Sometimes it looks familiar, sometimes it looks like favor, Sometimes it comes disguised as somebody saying “I can save you,” Sometimes it's your own ambition telling you that you need the paper. That's the first layer, temptation wearing business clothes, Opportunity knocking when your judgment's running low, A quick solution feels attractive when the rent is overdue, But every easy answer got a question hiding underneath it too. One step, two step, floor starts shifting, First decision feels small, second changes the position, Third one got you defending what you never would've envisioned, Now you're building explanations just to justify the system. That's how a trap works psychologically, It doesn't need a lock when the mind accepts the key, It doesn't need a guard when the fear becomes routine, And it doesn't need a wall when the person won't leave. Drug money enters conversations like a loaded promise, Everybody sees the currency, nobody sees the conflict, You start measuring your future by whatever's in your pocket, Then the pocket becomes the reason that you can't stop it. The hustle gets romantic when you're watching from a distance, Up close it's missed sleep, strained trust and constant vigilance, Every new connection comes attached to some condition, And everybody has an angle when survival is the currency. Then the weapons change the temperature, One object can make a room suddenly reconsider every word, No instructions from me—the point is what the presence represents: Fear, escalation, consequences nobody can reverse. One argument can become a permanent scar, One reckless moment can travel farther than a car, One person trying to prove something can damage who they are, And everybody left behind has to live with where they got. That's the trap door. Not the object. Not the money. The moment you realize the choice has started making choices for you. [VERSE 2] Now I switch the pattern—short rhyme, long rhyme, Internal echoes bouncing through the architecture of the mind, “Pressure in the present, investment in the instant, Debt inside the decision, regret inside the distance.” I make the rhyme imitate the trap: Every line circles back, every thought retraces tracks, You think you're moving forward but you're stepping on the past, And the door beneath your feet keeps getting harder to detect. That's the metaphor expanded—floorboards are decisions, Basement is the consequence, staircase is ambition, Ceiling is the limit that you thought you could envision, But the foundation starts cracking when the motive gets corrupted. A person can become trapped by the image they created, Everybody expects the version of them they once demonstrated, So changing feels like weakness, even when the life is suffocating, And the hardest thing to say becomes, “I don't want this anymore.” That's real pressure. Not the kind that gets applause. The kind that happens when you finally question your own definition of success. Money can buy distance, but it can't buy peace, Can buy a bigger room, but it can't make the mind cease, Can put a smile on the face while the heartbeat won't release, Can make everybody jealous while you're begging just to sleep. That's why I keep the verses uncomfortable, No fantasy filter, no polished gloss over the vulnerable, If the environment is dangerous, the writing should be honest too, Because consequences are part of every story worth telling through. I seen people chase drugs because they wanted silence, Then discover silence gave the memories more room to get violent, Chasing numbness can create another form of confinement, And eventually the escape route becomes another assignment. The trap door opens slowly. That's what makes it dangerous. Not one dramatic moment. A sequence. A habit. A rationalization. A compromise. Then one morning you look around and realize the room is different. [BRIDGE] STOP. Look down. That's not solid ground. Ask yourself— How many steps did it take to get here? [VERSE 3] Third verse, now the bass hits harder, cadence getting quicker, I make the syllables stack while the atmosphere gets thicker, “False freedom, full pockets, closed circles, cold logic, Short vision, long damage, bright image, dark profit.” Opposites collide inside the rhyme architecture, Because contradiction is the language of the pressure, You can feel powerful and powerless together, You can have money and still feel like you're losing everything forever. That's what makes the story human. Nobody wakes up thinking, “Today I'm going to destroy everything I love.” People make smaller choices. They postpone consequences. They tell themselves they'll fix it tomorrow. Then tomorrow becomes next week. Next week becomes next year. And suddenly the trap has a calendar. That's why the final message ain't “never make mistakes,” Because everybody makes them—that's part of being human, The question is whether you recognize the pattern before the pattern becomes the thing that defines you. Can you step backward? Can you admit the floor isn't stable? Can you walk away from money that costs too much? Can you choose peace when the room expects aggression? Can you protect yourself without becoming what you're protecting yourself from? Those questions are harder than any punchline. But that's where the real weight is. I don't need to make destruction glamorous, Because destruction already has enough advertising, I can make the beat knock while the lyrics expose the damage, Give the listener something catchy without pretending the consequences don't matter. So when the final hook comes, Listen to the words underneath the rhythm. “Shortcut.” “Freedom.” “Choice.” Those words sound simple until life gives them a price. The trap door isn't always beneath your feet. Sometimes it's beneath your thinking. Sometimes it's the belief that there's only one way out. Sometimes the exit is right there, but pride won't let you use it. WHIIIIIIIIIDESIIIIIIIIIDE! That's the record. Dark beat. Bright warning. Heavy bass. Heavier lesson. [FINAL HOOK] Trap door, trap door, thought I knew the way, One step looking easy, whole floor gave way, Fast money in the pocket, consequences in the wake, Everybody wants the shortcut till the shortcut takes the day. Trap door, trap door, hidden underneath, Smile on the surface, pressure underneath, Everybody chasing exits, nobody wants to see Sometimes what looks like freedom is the lock beneath the key. [OUTR
