Save me, I’ve forgotten how to swim I’m finding it hard to keep my head above water Im too far in , too far in Lately , I seem to be getting nowhere Despite using all my energy – it's not fair. This journey ....is taking a very long time Endurance athletes always have a support team– where is mine? Proving my independence has put me in this position Cos now I’m navigating dangerous waters with no crew....on a solo mission So it's me, just me who has to try (Theres no lifejacket, no-ones sending a boat Its just up to me to keep myself afloat) Its just me – and its just do or die (Theres no spectators no one cheering for me and the finish line is too far to see) The ocean is so big confusing and wide There isn’t an obvious junction or place I can shelter and hide And its motion, disorientates my mind And as Im lacking in executive function, I feel blind I feel blind So it's me, just me who has to try (Theres no lifejacket, no-ones sending a boat Its just up to me to keep myself afloat) So its me, just me who has to try (There’s no navigator no-one reading the map Theres no supporters to cheer me and clap) Yes, I know that I’m stronger than some Yes, I’ll keep going for longer than some But Treading water is running my energy down I long to stop moving but if I do I will drown So save, me, ive got no strength left to swim Im feeling cold from too long in the water, I give in , I give in And they gave me, a whistle to call for a boat But my fingers are numb and I'm breathless, I can't make a single note So its me, alone in the abyss, Ive got no wetsuit, no oxygen tank Ive got no torch and my snorkel has sank Its just me- and I cant live like this Just me and the ocean for company Navigating a life which is lost at sea ... Its just me..
