[Verse 1] Don't fret about your life, what you'll eat or drink Or what you'll wear, what your body will think Isn't life more than just food and clothes? Look at the birds, how their story goes They don't plant seeds or store in a barn Still, your Father feeds them, keeps them from harm Aren't you worth more than a feathered friend? Can worry ever a single hour extend? [Chorus] So do not worry, no, don't you fret Every need you have, He hasn't forgotten yet Seek His kingdom first, let His goodness lead All these other things, you will surely succeed [Verse 2] Why do you worry 'bout the clothes you wear? See how the field flowers, beyond compare They don't work or spin, just bloom where they stand Not even kings were dressed so grand If God clothes the grass, here today, gone tomorrow Won't He clothe you too, and ease your sorrow? So don't say, "What will we eat, or drink, or wear?" Your Father knows your needs, He's always there [Chorus] So do not worry, no, don't you fret Every need you have, He hasn't forgotten yet Seek His kingdom first, let His goodness lead All these other things, you will surely succeed [Bridge] The pagans chase these things, day by day But your Father knows, He'll light your way Seek His justice, His righteous hand And all these blessings will fill your land [Chorus] So do not worry, no, don't you fret Every need you have, He hasn't forgotten yet Seek His kingdom first, let His goodness lead All these other things, you will surely succeed [Outro] Don't worry 'bout tomorrow, leave it be Each day has its troubles, for all to see Just live in today, let your spirit soar He's got you covered, forevermore
