Signal in the Noise | Staff Software Engineer, Detection & Response @ Suno

**Verse 1** Logs are pouring in from every single door CloudTrail, VPC, a thousand lines and more Somewhere in the noise, a signal's trying to get through I build the thing that finds it before anybody knew **Pre-Chorus** Not reacting to the smoke after the fire I'm the one who wired the alarm before it's dire **Chorus** I write the detection, I own the response From the first alert to the closing of the loop, once and for all Identity, access, the data walking out the door High-signal, no noise, I'm not guessing anymore Calm in the incident, structured, clear, and fast Building it from nothing so the next one doesn't last **Verse 2** Playbook on the table before the page goes out On-call at 3am, no panic, just no doubt Post-incident review, what did we miss, what did we learn Turn it into code so the gap doesn't return **Pre-Chorus** Not reacting to the smoke after the fire I'm the one who wired the alarm before it's dire **Chorus** I write the detection, I own the response From the first alert to the closing of the loop, once and for all Identity, access, the data walking out the door High-signal, no noise, I'm not guessing anymore Calm in the incident, structured, clear, and fast Building it from nothing so the next one doesn't last **Bridge** New threats coming, shapes we haven't seen Model abuse, novel patterns in between AI to augment, not replace, the eye I focus on the work that only I can apply **Outro** Signal in the noise, quiet and precise Nobody sees the breach that never happened twice That's the job — detection, done with care Somewhere in the dark, I'm already there
