Notes on Suno: Grok's Process: Credit-Saving Workarounds

V3.5

This is an instrumental and has no lyrics, I'm just using this as a way to keep notes on Suno. Multi-extend songs: - Extend from about 2 seconds back from the ending of a musical phrase - BE VERY CAREFUL about vocals, because if you extend 2 seconds to either side of a vocal, that gender vocal is basically locked in for the next entire extend, even if the vocal timbre itself might change. - You cannot crop an extend that's Part 2/3/4, it will isolate it on its own. - If you want to crop off a little bit at the end of the WIP, you have to Get Whole Song AND THEN crop the end. That does bad things to genre shifts though, namely that you WILL get a whole new musical idea after doing so, though if you use the same lyric/style prompting as before you MIGHT get the first musical idea back. - If you're getting lyric repeats try thumbs downing it if it's repeating only one verse over and over, it will start to learn not to do that. - alternately, write a lyrical verse that's following the same pattern or is otherwise similar in syllable counts, to use as a replacement. The repetition is basically Suno saying "this genre REQUIRES a repeat of this particular section" - so replace it or thumbs down manically, preferably, both. - if you're looking for Suno to STOP with the endless continuing, two options: either find a natural ending point (one that fades into silence) and crop it there, or extend with the ONLY thing in the lyric box being [fade to end] or [end]. - If you're looking for Suno to START again after it gives you only endings, extend from the super-short last part, about 2 seconds back or in the middle of their fade-out phrase. Suno will tend to treat it as a false break, and then you're gonna have the opposite problem shortly.
