We’re the Villains (Initial version from 30-Years ago)

[Verse 1] Bombs started falling from the sky Right on the town where you and I reside Grey clouds of smoke began to rise As the ground turned red before our eyes [Chorus] They say we are the villains now Against the world, against His word If this is what you call "justice" I don't need a God like this [Verse 2] I had a dream just yesterday I saw nothing but the clear blue sky But I woke up to the black, cold rain And the future fades in a blur of pain [Chorus] They say we are the villains now Against the world, against His word If this is what you call "justice" I don't need a God like this [Bridge] They tell us "justice always wins" in the end But what is justice? Can you tell me, my friend? [Outro] They say we are the villains now Against the world, against His word If this is what you call "justice" I don't need a God like this They tell us "justice always wins" in the end But what is justice? Can you tell me, my friend? They tell us "justice always wins" in the end But what is "just us"? Can you tell me, my friend?
