True Reality
Every night I’m losing shape, slipping through a borrowed fate, waking up with half a face like someone else took my place. Dreams hit harder than the day, scars appear then fade away, voices whisper “(you’re not safe,)” like they know the rules I break. Reality is paper thin, I can see the seams again, every time I close my eyes I wake up where I’ve already been. If I never know I’m dreaming… how do I know I'm awake? Who wakes up? When I close my eyes… Who … Who woke up? On the other side…… If I’m dreaming here… who’s calling me? If this isn’t real… then what could it be? Dreams hit harder than the day, scars appear then fade away, voices whisper “(you’re not safe,)” like they know the rules I break. Reality is paper thin, I can see the seams again, every time I close my eyes I wake up where I’ve already been. If I never know I’m dreaming… how do I know I'm awake? Who wakes up? When I close my eyes… Who woke up? On the other side… If I never know I’m dreaming… how do I know I'm awake? Who wakes up? When I close my eyes… Who woke up? On the other side…
