[Verse 1] On every table, side by side, Salt and pepper stand, God placed both on our tables To help us understand Salt preserves what matters, Brings the flavor hidden there, That's the steady faith we're called to, Holding truth with patient care [Chorus] Salt and pepper, side by side, Truth with grace and joy alive Let them taste the goodness In the way we choose to live Salt and pepper, both belong, Steady faith and joyful song, Don't forget the pepper When you've got the salt to give [Verse 2] Pepper wakes the senses, Brings a little life into the room, Joy can open tired hearts Where a word of hope gets through We were never called to carry Truth as something cold and grim, There should be a living gladness In the life we live for Him [Chorus] Salt and pepper, side by side, Truth with grace and joy alive Let them taste the goodness In the way we choose to live Salt and pepper, both belong, Steady faith and joyful song, Don't forget the pepper When you've got the salt to give [Verse 3] We know mercy came and found us, We know Jesus paid the price, We have hope beyond tomorrow, We have everlasting life That's the reason for the gladness, That's the fire behind the smile, We have heard the truth that saved us, Let that joy be seen in us [Instrumental Break] [Bridge] When the room is worn and weary, Bring a kindness they can feel, Stand in truth and share your laughter, Show them hope is something real Bring the patience, bring the mercy, Bring some light into the blue, Let them see the life He gave us In the little things we do [Final Chorus] Salt and pepper, side by side, Truth with grace and joy alive Let them taste the goodness In the way we choose to live Salt and pepper, both belong, Steady faith and joyful song, Don't forget the pepper When you've got the salt to give [Post-Chorus] Salt and pepper, side by side, Grace for the world and fire inside, Don't forget the pepper When you've got the salt to give [Outro] Salt and pepper Side by side Don't forget the pepper When you've got the salt to give
