There Is A Light

There is a light When our hearts and our spirits reunite There is a light Within loved ones we hold close and tight There is a light In the book of dreams we struggle to write There is a light In those old verses we still can recite There is a light Inside the heartland burning bright There is a light Guiding us through skies of turbulent flight There is a light Drawing energy from our divine birthright There is a light Acts of goodness and mercy ease our strife There is a light … …..Call it justice …..Call it prayer …..Call it hope Truth follows us there .….Call it compassion …..Call it God’s will …..Call it faith Spirit never stands still Remember in every fearful night Whatever we name eternity’s sign The spirit that creates our lasting light Becomes the love that lets us shine There is a light Candles chasing darkness from our sight There is a light In a lifetime of fires we vowed to ignite There is a light That glows beyond the fury in the night There is a light That the storm cannot quell with all its might In the joy of hello And the grief of goodbye Our transitions still Will lighten up the sky Everything we are Everything we believe Will shine across forever And our light will never leave There is a light There is a light There is a light There is a light Always There is a light There is a light
