I saw you sat at the bar that Sunday afternoon, My day stopped and the rest of my life began, Your hair reminded me of my disco days, We revelled dancing those afternoons at Fire It took me a while but I found the one I had been searching for, My Mahal, my love, my endless summer, forever. Even though I have to leave the house when you eat durian, and the noise you make shuffling those mahjong tiles Your love letters sent me back to you, and the photographs, even the one I had to hide. When I was separated from you, I rushed to your embassy to pledge my love for you. Your chicken curry, and that green gooey stuff but not your adobo It took me a while but I found the one I had been searching for, My Mahal, my love, my endless summer, forever. I love you so much I had to invent a language just for you... Magunda, my darling love
