⸻ [Intro – Acoustic Guitar • Low Bass Hum • Vinyl Crackle] Yeah… Everybody loves freedom Till somebody believes different than they do. ⸻ [Verse 1] I was raised in a town full of churches and Bible signs, People acting friendly long as you stay in line. Soon as they found out I was pagan, shit changed, Got quiet conversations and judgment to my face. I don’t go to church every Sunday morning, I’d rather sit outside where it’s quiet and think. I believe in my ancestors, hard work, loyalty, And respecting the land that keeps us alive. People ask me why I wear Thor’s hammer, Like it somehow makes me dangerous or wrong. Truth is I’m just trying to live my damn life, Raise my kids right and be left alone. What bothers me is how little things changed. Back then Christians punished people openly. Now most don’t do that, but some still judge you hard If your beliefs don’t match theirs. Same pressure. Same attitude. Just modernized. ⸻ [Chorus] I’m a heathen and I ain’t hiding it, Not changing who I am to make people comfortable. I work, I pay bills, I take care of my family, That should matter more than what god I follow. But people still look at you different, Still act weird when you don’t believe like them. So I keep my head up and keep moving, Even when the whole damn town talks. ⸻ [Instrumental Break – 20 Seconds • Acoustic Guitar • Heavy 808 • Fiddle • Distant Thunder] (No vocals) Acoustic guitar picking slowly while the bass drags underneath. Fiddle comes in low and sad. Heavy kick drum builds like marching boots. Thunder rolling in the distance. Crowd noise fades in and out like old memories. ⸻ [Verse 2] I’m tired of hearing people preach acceptance Then turn around and judge somebody else’s faith. Tired of being told I need “saving” When I never asked to be saved in the first place. I don’t hate Christians. Some are good people. Some would give you the shirt off their back. But others use religion to feel superior, Like believing different makes you less human. I’ve had people look at my tattoos and symbols And assume I’m some kind of extremist. That shit gets old fast. Most pagans I know just want peace and privacy. We believe in family, strength, nature, honesty, And standing by the people we love. That’s it. No secret cult bullshit. No Hollywood garbage. Just people trying to live honestly Without pretending to be something we’re not. ⸻ [Bridge – Spoken • Beat Drops Low] I don’t need fear to keep me decent. I don’t need guilt to be a good man. I know right from wrong without somebody threatening hell. ⸻ [Final Chorus – Bigger Vocals • Harmony Layers] I’m a heathen and I’ll say it proudly, Even if people don’t understand it. I’m not here to fit into somebody else’s religion, And I’m done apologizing for it. I’ll keep living how I live, Keep taking care of my own. And if that makes people uncomfortable… That’s their damn problem.
