[spoken] So get this I'm sitting on the curb down on embarcadero when this guy comes out of nowhere He takes a look at me from the top of his nose and says why don't you cut your hair and I said Mister. You don't know me and I don't know you And I don't know what you think I did But as I sit right here minding my own business the one i've ran since i was a kid I swear to you I do declare and i'm not one for declaring you think you're big and that i'm small but it's sure not me you're scaring you see by now a crowd had gathered and they all looked at this guy it seemed to me they wanted a show so I punched him in the eye Now I'm not tough I'm not so big and I'm not the fighting kind but he wasn't ready and he took it hard and i think it broke his mind He looked at me and started to scream Like it was the end of days And the next thing that happened to me well it's all a blurry haze [singing] And that's all I know as the wind does blow yeah that's all I know if you don't believe me then i'll repeat it nice and slow yeah nice and slow [spoken] Some time passed as it does and I grew older as one does But not any wiser and that's because I believed that because of my actions the police were out to get me So I kept hidden out of the places I could be seen and this living in the shadows it started a bit of a change and with luck I found I could arrange to step out into the sunlight every once in a while and check the time with my sundial But one day as I was walking I caught a strange sight out of the corner of my eye lo and behold I said to myself I recognize him well well well well he who held himself so mighty now had locks of hair that flew wildly in the breeze and he spoke to me with pleasure and ease [singing] And that's all I know as the wind does blow yeah that's all I know if you don't believe me then i'll repeat it nice and slow yeah nice and slow
