[Verse 1] Just because you’re a pedestrian on a bicycle Doesn’t mean you’re free to break the code E-bikes weaving through the crosswalk Phone in your hand, your eyes on the road You’re looking down like nothing’s coming But the front wheel shakes on glass and grit One bad move, one blink, one second And you won’t get to call it “it” [Pre-Chorus] Did you know? It’s illegal To hold your smart phone While on an E-bike [Chorus] Phone down, eyes up Phone down, eyes up One bad second Takes somebody out (out) Phone down, eyes up Phone down, eyes up Ride like you mean it Before you don’t (don’t) [Verse 2] I mean if you got a death wish And you really don’t care You’ll learn real fast When the pavement bites back there Everybody’s waiting at the light now Everybody’s hearing that scrape You can play tough with your thumb on the screen Till the ambulance cuts through the rage [Pre-Chorus] Did you know? It’s illegal To hold your smart phone While on an E-bike [Chorus] Phone down, eyes up Phone down, eyes up One bad second Takes somebody out (out) Phone down, eyes up Phone down, eyes up Ride like you mean it Before you don’t (don’t) [Bridge] I’m not here to preach I’m here to warn you That little glance can turn to steel If you want to gamble with your body That’s on you But the price is real Your mom and dad Will be the ones Repairing what you tore apart So lift your head And keep your hands Off the screen And off the dark [Breakdown] Pedestrian on a bicycle Don’t confuse speed with right E-bike law, read it twice Hands off the phone tonight! [Final Chorus] Phone down, eyes up Phone down, eyes up One bad second Takes somebody out (out) Phone down, eyes up Phone down, eyes up Ride like you mean it Before you don’t (don’t) Phone down, eyes up Phone down, eyes up Do you want the fall? Do you want the crash? (crash)
