[Intro] Diez Firzt, yeah. Back in the game, back on the track, Took my time, now the voice is back. Same old name, same first attack— Diez Firzt, yeah. This one’s about horror movies. Big tough jock. Tiny little geek. Guess who goes first? [Verse 1] Old house, cold night, rain on the glass, Four dumb kids saying, “This’ll pass.” Basement door got a blood-red splash, Something downstairs keeps making a crash. Jock got arms like a goddamn tank, Varsity jacket, top of the rank. Talked real tough by the riverbank, Now a floorboard creaks and his whole face blank. Geek says, “Maybe we leave this place.” Jock says, “Nah, go investigate.” Investigate? You weigh two-eighty. I weigh one-forty soaking wet, maybe. You got shoulders wide as a Chevrolet, But the second that doorway swings away— “Hey, nerd. You should go first.” Of course. [Pre-Chorus] Big chest, big arms, big mouth all year, Now a noise in the dark got him frozen in fear. Pushes one skinny kid toward the danger zone— If you’re so damn tough, Why don’t you go alone? [Chorus] Geek goes first, geek goes first, Every horror flick got the same damn curse. Jock talks tough till the lights get worse, Then he grabs the little nerd like— “You check first.” Check that room. Check downstairs. Check why there’s blood on all the chairs. Built like a brick wall, dressed in a football shirt— But somehow— Geek goes first. Diez Firzt, yeah. Geek goes first. [Verse 2] Now the nerd got a flashlight, half-ass charged, While the linebacker waits in the hallway, large. Whispering low like he’s standing guard— No, motherfucker. You’re just standing far. Geek steps in, sees scratches and chains, Bones on the floor and blood in the drains. Starts taking notes, starts using his brain, While Chad in the hall says— “Anything strange?” Strange? There’s a pentagram carved in the wall, A dead guy smiling at the end of the hall, Something just whispered, “I’ll murder you all.” Nah. Looks fine. Come on in, football. Suddenly Chad needs to “watch the rear.” Yeah. Funny how courage disappears. [Chorus] Geek goes first, geek goes first, Every horror flick got the same damn curse. Jock talks tough till the lights get worse, Then he grabs the little nerd like— “You check first.” Check that sound. Check that shed. Poke that corpse and make sure it’s dead. Built like a brick wall, dressed in a football shirt— But somehow— Geek goes first. [Verse 3] Then something jumps and the whole room shakes, Geek dives left while the floorboard breaks. Jock hears screaming and hits the brakes— “Bro, you good?” What do you think, Jake? Geek finds a weapon, a book, and a blade, Learns every rule while the others evade. Monster hates sunlight, salt, and sage. Jock says, “Maybe it’s angry?” Brilliant. Great. Now the nerd’s been scratched, thrown, bitten, chased, One cracked lens, blood down his face. Comes back upstairs at a record pace— Jock says, “Dude, you look terrible.” No shit, Ace. [Bridge] Then it clicks. The nerd knows the formula. First through the door. First down the hall. First sees the ghost. First finds the body. Then Chad puts one hand on his shoulder again. “Hey, bro…” Nah. Not this time. [Breakdown] Geek steps left. Jock steps through. Door slams shut. Now what you gonna do? “BRO! OPEN UP!” Can’t hear you, mate. Remember when you said, “Go investigate”? Congratulations. Your turn, heavyweight. [Final Chorus] Jock goes first, jock goes first, Finally somebody reversed the curse. All that tough-guy talk dispersed When the geek folds his arms like— “You check first.” Check that room. Check downstairs. Tell me why that demon’s combing its hair. You wanted bravery? Show your worth. New horror rule— Jock goes first. J
