[Short Instrumental Intro] [Verse 1] By the mangroves under moonlit skies, She pops up smiling with her big bright eyes. She waves hello, but they all leave soon, Poor little cutie from the black lagoon. [Chorus] She’s the cutie from the lagoon, Dancing alone to a seaside tune. Not a nightmare, not a fright— She just wants friends on a Halloween night. [Verse 2] She limbos low but her tail swings wide, Trips on a shell, takes a tumble in stride. They all run screaming when she shouts “Yoo-hoo!” But she just wants someone to dance with too. [Chorus] She’s the cutie from the lagoon, Groovin’ all night by the light of the moon. Every “boo!” makes the crowd take flight, But she keeps on dancing every night. [Verse 3] One night a bat girl wandered near, With wings like shadows and a smile sincere. She waved right back and she stayed in tune— Now they’re dancing together in the black lagoon. [Final Chorus] She’s the cutie from the lagoon, Found her friend in the silver moon. Whisper laughed, and the night felt right— Two little monsters dancing all night. [Outro] [Spoken Word] “Whisper, let’s splash in the tide—eat glow-bugs—play tag in the dark! Race the crabs, then limbo with me… even if I always fall over!” [Fade Out]
