[titel:Big or Small] [Intro] [audience screaming] [Female singer speaks] This song is for everyone who learned too early what happens when power forgets compassion. Big kings. Small kings. The song is called... "Big or Small." [audience screaming] [Female vocals] They lied to me from the start. "You're going to love it. You'll make friends. You'll learn. You'll grow." Then the doors closed... and they called it school. [Verse 1] I remember my first day. Twenty-two children in one little room. One angry woman ruled the place like every morning brought more doom. She screamed when we were frightened. Punished what we didn't know. I was only a child... but even then I wanted to go home. [Pre-Chorus 1] They called it education. They called it our future. But fear doesn't teach. Pain doesn't guide. And power without compassion makes monsters on either side. [Chorus] Big or small... a king is still a king when power means you must obey everything. Big or small... a throne can be anywhere. Inside a palace. Inside a classroom. Anywhere someone learns that nobody cares. They told us: "Obey us. We know what is right." But I learned something different... authority doesn't make you right. [Verse 2] Years went by. The rooms got larger. Different buildings. Different names. Teachers. Bosses. Men in offices. But sometimes the pattern stayed the same. Smile for the system. Stand in line. Don't ask why. Don't speak too loud. And every little king becomes taller when everybody bows down. [Pre-Chorus 2] That's when I understood what frightened me back then. It wasn't school. It wasn't rules. It was what power can do to men. [Chorus 2] Big or small... a king is still a king when power means you must obey everything. Big or small... the crown may never show. But give someone power without limits... and soon you'll know. They told us: "Obey us. We know what is right." But authority doesn't turn darkness into light. [Bridge] [quiet female vocal] Maybe children shouldn't learn that fear means respect. Maybe nobody should be broken just because they're different. Maybe the first lesson should have been: "You matter. Ask why. Think for yourself. And never confuse power with truth." [Last Chorus] BIG OR SMALL! A KING IS STILL A KING! No golden crown is needed when fear controls everything. BIG OR SMALL! I finally understand: the worst kind of authority is the one that never questions its own hand. So teach me. Guide me. Help me grow. But don't demand I close my eyes and follow wherever you go. [Outro] Human authority comes in many sizes. Abuse of power... does not. [audience screaming] [Female voice] Big... or small.
