[singer A] [spoken baritone male vocals] You ever have one of those days when you wake up, halfway asleep, halfway awake, on the way to the bathroom, stub your toe in the fuckin' wall, realize that it's gonna be a shitty day. You ever wake up, see your ignition, holding your keys, but you're on the locked side of your fuckin' car? It's just one of those days when you want to just get fucked up. [transition] [singer B] [spoken baritone male vocals] Twenty-five verses, day damn near over, it's just one of those days, kickin' my own ass first thing, tired of the bullshit. Price of gas got me flinchin', pocket's empty, nerves ain't changed, every light turns red on me, like the whole damn world rearranged. Fuckin' boss being a dickbag, a deucesicle, whatever you want to call his fuckstick ass for the day, talkin' loud while the clock moves slow, I swear it never goes my way. Lookin' at that pile of bills, stacked up like a brick wall stare, rent due, power due, phone due too, and my luck don't give a care. Oh what the hell, how can a guy even survive? Work, sleep, repeat, then back to the line, got the weight of the week on my shoulders, and the hour hand is draggin' behind. Fuckin' bills. It's just one of those days. [instrumental] [singer A] Still I walk through all the nonsense, still I take another swing, 'cause one bad day don't own me, though it damn sure tries to cling. So if you see me movin' slow, if my stare looks mean as hell, don't mistake my tired silence for the stories I won't tell. I'm just beat up, broke, and stubborn, with a fuse that's running thin, but I keep on pushin' forward even when the day digs in. It's just one of those days, when you want to just get fucked up.
