Colors turn to ashes when the day is done, Yet another day will bring the light to view. No one sees them all at once to know Just what is all around the way. We be and are in rooms or under open sky, Colors blend and darken or lighten soon. But when we’re not aware of what is soothing us Or what is jangling to our senses, We may or may not know how colors Bind us up or clarify our thoughts To one extent or other. Colors do not decide factor In our changing moods But do their part in life. And if we find and see and use them As we should, as God intends, Harmony and peace will reign in us And among those who try to understand Why God made so much blue sky And green plants below, With bright splash between Of yellow, red and orange, And many shades and hues, to calm Our days or make us think good thoughts About why colors are and why God Blessed us with so many kinds.
