A Generation 1 Million Total Views

Wrote this song out of the blue. No plan, no expectation — just an idea I scribbled down one day. A few lines about a time and a place that doesn't exist anymore, except in the people who lived it. I brought it to the friends and musicians I play with, half expecting them to shrug it off. Instead they said, "go for it, nothing to lose." So I did. The song was "A Generation That Won't Come Back." Much to our surprise, it went viral. My first ever viral moment — and I mean that in the truest sense, because nothing before this ever came close. I honestly can't explain my feelings right now. Can't think straight, can't put it into words the way I usually can with a song. It's overwhelming in the best way. Since Friday, I've been sitting in the studio for 18-hour days. Not recording — answering comments. Reading every single one of them. Story after story, from every one of you, about the neighborhoods you grew up in, the people who aren't here anymore, the world that used to move slower and feel simpler. So many touching stories that brought tears to my glassy eyes, more than once. I didn't write this song thinking it would reach anyone beyond the four walls of my studio. I wrote it because it was true — true to my own memories of growing up here, in the Restigouche, in a time that already feels like it's slipping away. I never imagined that truth would find its way into a million living rooms, a million memories that weren't mine but somehow felt just as real when you shared them back to me. To everyone who's commented, shared, tagged a sibling or an old friend, told me about your own grandmother's kitchen or your own dirt road or your own version of "the days that were simpler" — thank you. You didn't just listen to a song. You gave me back a piece of your own story, and I will carry every one of them with me. I won't forget this. Not the 18-hour days, not the tears, not a single comment. Thank you for making this what it's become. 🙏 {More from Ten-Breath-Sun Nation:} {🎥 YouTube: @RejeanRobichaud} {📱 TikTok: @RejeanRobichaud323}
