I try to stay alive In a battle that happens inside The outer world is tuned out As chaos surges from my sorrow Am I only mortal? A portal opens in my broken psyche I can hear the voices from Shadowland The faceless beings Lure me, with promises Of ending the dance with termination What can I say? I can't give into temptation The offer, like sweet candy Wanting to escape to the realm of fantasy The sound of me breaking And madness invading I turn into a pink smiling shadow A sense of being a falling flower Embracing the disgrace The pressure is too much for my fragile head The attachments to life become less As I am embraced by darkness The piercing voice Seduces my loveless being I'm not alone anymore I'm with the king of shadows That can read my heart Just by looking at my broken smile "You are no longer alone, my fair maiden" The dark saccharine taste Of a comforting kiss Not wanting more than my company The sweet corruption Of a fragile light I'm a flower accepting the curse of the blights The constellation of the dragon appears on my skin The scars of past dreams Are shinning due to the shadow king's honesty He wants me, even if I am mad He loves me, even if I dislike humans The eternal darkness embraces the fleeting night Shadowland comes to life, as the fluttering of the wings of the broken butterfly stop The dark hour; when the morning is left behind The peaceful song plays As the wings of the nocturnal angel are tamed From the starless sky, I surge again He takes my hand and leads me to our personal heaven As the day mourns me I disappear with the shadow king To a place where my fragile being can exist Without limits and without restraints I became the shadow queen, that embraced her own beautiful ruin
