I only know her for a moment or two, A smile, a hello, and a "How do you do?" A few little words, a glance in the light, But somehow she stayed on my mind through the night. I don't know her stories, I don't know her dreams, The roads she has traveled or the places she's seen. But something about her felt different somehow, Now I am wond'rin' what's she's thinking right now. She might be wonderful, maybe she's kind, The sort of a gal you'd be lucky to find. Maybe she loves when the band starts to playing, Maybe she smiles as the world keeps on swaying. She might be clever, she might have a way, Of making things brighter a little each day. I don't know much, but one thing is true... Tonight seems a little more wonderful too. Maybe she loves all the old-fashioned songs, The kind that can carry your memories along. Maybe she smiles when the day isn't right, Finds little moments that make life feel bright. Maybe she notices things others miss, A simple hello or a stolen gent's kiss. Maybe she'd stop for a friend feeling blue, The sort of a gal who knows just what to do. She might be wonderful, maybe she's kind, The sort of a gal you'd be lucky to find. Maybe she sings when her favorite song plays, Maybe she's humming it all through the day. She might be someone I'll someday know, More than a moment from an hour ago. All I can tell you is after we met... She's one that I know I'll never forget. Of course I don't know her, Not really, not yet. I'm only here lost in The moment we met. But sometimes a person Can fill up your day, Just by the simple Things that they say. She might be wonderful, that's how I feel, Maybe the feeling is something that's real. Maybe tomorrow I'll learn who she is, For that moment was fleeting, yet left me feeling like this. She might be wonderful, maybe she's true, Maybe the best little chance this fool ever knew. I don't know what has happened to me... But she might be wonderful... She might be wonderful... to me.
