## PREFACE 🤓 The text uses a lot of special words and references to other artists' tracks, for example, the spoken poetry part references Bowie, "turn the page" references Bob Seger, "land on gems" is a reference to another Patti Smith song "Land..." and a compliment at the same time, "money-honey" and so on. Those little words are only important to the musicians themselves 🤓 🤓 The spoken poetry part of the song is addressed directly to Patti herself, with a reference to Patti's song "Land: Horses/ Land of a Thousand Dances / La Mer (De)" through "We'll twist and turn back, twist and turn back" as if daydreaming about an evening together and then returning to the song 🤓 🤓 The genre choice is ironic, as blues often sings about how bad everything is and how there's no money 🤓 🤓 "Kiddies" is so similar to "kitties" that it's easy to confuse them, but the word is key, in the sense that the idea of the whole song is built on the fact that the person the heroine interacts with and to whom she makes promises is her inner child 🤓 🤓 The end of the song is filled with "big money," in contrast to the dreams and lyricism of the beginning (adult's vs. kid's world) 🤓 🤓 "Hollow Earth" appears in the song as a place you can get to, but it describes the feeling of an empty world during depression, or after taking substances 🤓 ## LYRICS: Tasha Orbita, inspired by Patti Smith [Verse 1 ] Well... the phone shakes me like an earthquake. Says, click here and a fortune is yours to take. And I'm falling into Hollow Earth, but don't you fear, my dear. I'll land on the gems and buy your wildest dreams. [Verse 2] Every time I get my post, it's a debt or a fee Checking the depths of my fall, repeatedly. I'm feeling lucky, 'cause they've come for me. I'll hit the right spot, cash will set me free. [Jam] Oh, baby, I'll cry tears of sincere joy. We'll buy all the dreams and will lay on the grass, oh, boi. We'll chase the high life, and the world will be our stage With all that money, honey, we will turn the page. [Spoken Poetry] I'll buy a rocket ship, a big one, and we'll fly to the space. To see the flying tin can, shining from the prayers. We'll wave to the star man, and fall back to the ground Into Hollow Earth, where the nights are upside down. At night, I'll show you how to make a track, We'll twist and turn back, twist and turn back, twist and turn back... and dream, big money, (dream) (big money) [Pre-Chorus] Dreams are free, babe, it's all for free. Dreams are free, sun, just you and me. Dreams are free, my love, it is all we need. Dreaming of big money, big money, honey Big money, honey very big money, honey Big money, honey big money. [Verse 3] Well... the phone shakes me like an earthquake. Says, click here and a fortune is yours to take. Every time I get my post, it's a debt or a fee Checking the depths of my fall, repeatedly. [Blues Train Going On] Oh, baby, I'll cry tears of sincere joy. I found a way out, I'm breaking through the noise We'll fix it all, listen, listen Dreams are free, they're free, you know [Chorus] And when we dream it, when we dream it (When we dream it) we'll dream it for free, big money Big money (big money) big money, honey Big money, honey, (big) (money) [Outro] And we'll dream of kiddies, we'll dream of cities, Building the best of the best, on that big money, On that big money, on that big money...
