Terminal Stillness - Dot In Space II
When I was five years old, I sometimes asked myself the question - "What would happen if everything I see around me did not exist?" This question caused some kind of failure in me and a feeling of complete emptiness and incomprehensibility, and it took me some time to come to my senses. In the silence, I drift through the stars, Tiny flickers in the void, we’re lost, Tracing back to where we came from, Searching answers, but we pay the cost. Are we just dust in a grand design? Eternal questions give way to the night, Fading echoes of who we once were, Yet we cling to dreams, chasing the light. We’re just a dot in the cosmos’ hand, Floating through the vastness, trying to understand, What lies before us, what’s written in time, In a world so small, we’re struggling to climb. Who are we in this infinite scheme? Fragments of stories, a flickering flame, Yearning for meaning in everything lost, While the weight of existence drives us insane. Cycles of life that we hope to escape, Endless reincarnations, a labyrinth’s game, But the truth is a shroud we can’t seem to lift, Caught in a matrix, forever the same. We’re just a dot in the cosmos’ hand, Floating through the vastness, trying to understand, What lies before us, what’s written in time, In a world so small, we’re struggling to climb. Where are we going, on this winding road? Through the haze of existence, we carry our load, Facing the truth that can’t be undone, Yet hoping for answers, before we’re all gone.
