*** My gratitude to @Marc Cooper for suggesting this prompt to me!*** The green, still green, bursts forth glistening in the motionless air in the rays of a September wherein my pillars have gone into a sunset known only to them, somewhere over there where the sea might be sky and the sky is no sea, it is… indefinite. I would not want the conditional tense to stuff me with vague, vain ideas and yet I know that one truly succeeded in reaching beyond an end and a beginning that cram into naive minds repetitive musical staves— the old, worn-out records of a shameless tale that the world has passed into a curse, in the suffering that still pierces both sky and sea, both life and death. The green, still in serene blue, delights me with life. And life calls upon itself from fire and from water, from air, from the life of an earth destined to give birth, to grow, to die, to rise again, to be your sustenance.
