Sun’s sitting low in the distance, Sun’s sitting low in the sky. Sun’s sitting low my darling, You must get in before dark of night. Been working hard in the field, working hard all day, O come in from the field, It’s sunset , O my darling, the end of the day. Never mind my darling, I can’t eat a thing, Lets sit O my darling, I enjoy your company. How was your day O my darling, your day without me? Were you lonely, O My darling, I’ve been gone did you miss me? It’s okay O my darling, it’s been way too long, Are you tired O my darling? been waiting the whole day long. Are you happy O my darling, O my darling I’ll sing a song. Time to pray, O my darling, give our thanks to God. Sun’s rising in the east, Sun’s rays shine in the dawn, Time to go O my darling, Fields been waiting all night long. Yes it’s time O my darling must go work all day long. Then return O my darling, again when the day is gone, yes be back O my darling, when the sun again is gone! A poem/song by R.A.STEINER JR Thru God’s Gift to Me
