Interstellar Saucer Syndicate: Lightspeed Fairytale
I've been Offworld and back... frontiers! I've stood on the back deck of a blinker bound for the Plutition Camps with sweat in my eyes watching stars fight on the shoulder of Orion... I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. But in the infinite expending Universe there is always space to live and time to die. I’ve felt the silence between the stars, where no signal returns and no name remains. Worlds drift past like forgotten dreams, and even light grows tired of its journey. I’ve held moments no memory could contain, watched time bend and scatter like dust in my hands. What is a life, if not a brief spark against an endless and indifferent dark? And yet— in that darkness, there is something that endures: the will to see, to feel, to be. A fleeting fire… but a real one.
