Silken Curse
[low taiko percussion with koto and shakuhachi] [Verse] In the streets of lantern glow, She walks with grace, a silent show. Crimson lips and silken sleeves, A breath of spring beneath the eaves. Whispers trail her every step, The moonlight clings, the past won't rest. [Pre-Chorus] But deep inside, the shadows stir. A beast awakes beneath the fur. A secret born in blood and woe, That only nighttime dares to know. [Chorus] Silken curse, in beauty bound. She haunts the alleys, all night around.. (all night long..) With eyes that weep and claws that crave, She marks the young for shadow's grave. Once a girl, (not anymore..) now fate’s cruel jest.. The night, so dark, (ohhh so dark.) she finds no rest! [Verse] The temples fall, the West rolls in. But demons care not for the din.. Her hair flows long, her face serene, Yet horrors bloom where she has been. Soft laughter echoing like bells, As innocence to silence fell.. [Pre-Chorus] No shrine can cleanse, no monk can pray The yokai’s hunger grows each day.. She dances where the fireflies die, A ghost in threads of days gone by.. [Bridge-taiko stopps] Steel meets silk beneath the pine, A blade of light, a sacred line She smiles, at last the pain can cease, And whispers, “Thank you for my peace…”.. Falling like a crimson flower (hmm a crimson flower) Freed within her final hour (finally) [Final Chorus – softer, haunting-slows down] Silken curse, now broken lies.. A girl released beneath the skies..(hmmm) No more the hunt, no more the flame Just cherry blossoms in her name (blooming in her name..) Once a girl, now spirits blessed, In pale moonlight, she’s laid to rest...
