This song is a Requiem. Dedicated to the memory of the 171 schoolgirls and teachers who lost their lives on February 28, 2026, in the strike on a primary school in Minab, Iran. May their memory be eternal. [Outro] (Music fades out to solo piano) [End] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Frozen Laughter (Requiem) [Verse 1] Why must the children pass away, Before they see the bloom of spring? Why does the war stand in the way, To break the dreams that small hearts bring? The summer that they’ll never know, A mother’s bitter, falling tear... Who gave the fire the right to grow — To quench the eyes so bright and clear? [Chorus] The planet burns — the sky turns red, And frozen laughter... in the air. Who will forbid to burn the towns? And save the heavens from despair? The planet burns... but in each child, A cry that never fades away. As long as we remember them — Their voices in our hearts will stay. [Verse 2] Why do the sirens tear the dawn, The world is shaking in the gloom? When answers should be found and drawn — The fire steals the light and bloom. But even in the ash remains A warmth of dreams, a living spark. And this, the flame within our hearts, Won't let us fade into the dark. [Bridge] Have we forgotten, through the pain, We share one Earth, one common home? The planet’s breath is like the rain — The spring where children used to roam… [Outro] The planet burns — but we’re alive. The planet cries — but do we hear? While we can love, while we believe — It’s not too late... Save it.
