What A Day
Verse 1 Ten hours deep, yeah, the body is aching now, Shoulders and my fingers screaming, gotta take a bow. But the count is higher, the time is running clean, Fifty-three items built, the best this week has seen. I had a better day, pushed the focus past the hurt, Every joint is screaming, but the effort got the worth. The grind hit different, but the mission stayed the same, Finish strong for my family, shouting out His name. Chorus (Steel guitar melody, drums pick up) What A Day! The muscle memory kicked in hard, Every single victory is etched upon my card! I felt the strength of God move every single bone, Out of the garden center, yeah, I made it home! Verse 2 Clocked in the morning, knew the struggle was ahead, Ten hours thirty, earning every piece of bread. The sun was just a witness, the items kept on coming, Didn't break the rhythm, kept the compact drill humming. I look at the invoice, seeing the big reward in the bank, That's the reason why I keep giving the good Lord thanks. I stood where I was planted, refused to run and hide, Knowing that my blessing is walking right beside. Chorus (Steel guitar melody, drums pick up) What A Day! The muscle memory kicked in hard, Every single victory is etched upon my card! I felt the strength of God move every single bone, Out of the garden center, yeah, I made it home! Bridge (Acoustic guitar focus, steady rhythm) The pain is temporary, the lesson is forever. That fire in my heart makes the spirit feel much clever. Discipline is progress, I see it on the page, Turned the empty boxes into another finished stage. Verse 3 Tired is the feeling when the final tag is dropped, But the enemy of doubt, today, completely stopped. Look back at the numbers, fifty-three items done, A clear example of the battle that was won. Thankful for the power that lets me persevere, Stepping out of darkness, moving past the fear. The work is done, the path is clear, my purpose is defined, A better day, a stronger will, leaving the ache behind. Outro (Steel guitar fades out slowly) Yeah. What a day. Long hours put in.
